Investing in my 201k
Allow me introduce you to the newest addition to our home:
Ken, at Height Sewing Centre, fixed me up with this amazing amazing amazing 1939 Singer 201k straight stitcher. It was originally a hand-cranked machine, but Ken attached an original Singer motor with a foot pedal, and a lamp, and it is brilliant. The 201k model is pretty highly regarded as one of Singer’s best machines, and it lives up to its reputation. It hums and sews ever so beautifully.
(Sadly, this lovely machine will not work in the states, unless I can somehow come up with a way to create my own 240v generator, but I know what kind of machine will be on my wish-list for my once and future craft room.)
Who’s got two thumbs and is totally in love?
