Arrowtown Autumn Festival
We just caught the tail-end of the Arrowtown Autumn Festival, just outside Queenstown. There were booths of goodies set up at the town park, and heaps of people out strolling about. We bought some tasty Gouda from a local cheesemaker to take with us on the trail, and later shared the best venison pie ever. I’d recommend it, but I can’t remember the name of the little bakery. But, if you ever find yourself in Arrowtown, and there’s an A-frame sign advertising venison pie, follow it to the little bakery cum fresh grocer cum cafe in one of the side streets, and get one of those pies. Yummy.
