Sandy and Susan hosted us in Melbourne, on their last weekend in Australia.  We headed to the Yarra Valley for the day on Saturday, enjoying Healesville’s fine foods and beverages, and visiting the Healesville Sanctuary to check out more of Australia’s unique animals.

On Sunday, after our morning run,  we rode the City Circle Tram, had yummy Bibimbap, decided against visiting the Melbourne Gaol, and headed to St. Kilda for the Sunday crafts market.  Stalls of handmade goods lined the Esplanade, and we had a fun time browsing and chatting with the vendors.  We had afternoon tea on the waterfront, and strolled the many, many cake shops before having a final dinner together.

We were blessed with glorious weather that weekend, much appreciated after our first weekend’s fury of wet and windy weather.  It was such a treat to have Sandy and Susan come visit us, and so fun to have such great company on our first real exploration of Melbourne.
