I think we’ve been semi-consciously making movement towards eating off the grid, and this dinner was a spot of success in our progress:
- homemade burger buns
- homemade ketchup
- ground beef from Stemple Creek Ranch
- greens from the farmer’s market
- tomatoes from the farmer’s market (soon they can be from our own plants!)
- mushrooms from the farmer’s market
The Berkeley farmer’s market has raw grains from grinding into flour, but I’m not sure we’re there yet. And what about baking soda/powder? Hmmm… But it seems like we’re making little steps in the right (tasty!) direction.
